The CO seal with a rubber sleeve as a secondary seal is able to carry large shaft movements and vibrations. Around the sealing lip of the sleeve a tension spring is pressing the lip against the shaft. The seal torque is taken up by the coil spring which makes the seal dependent of rotation. Field of applications are for example in seal water pumps in vessels and as propeller shaft seal in submarines.
